If you weaken the slime in battle or have more agility than the slime, you can use the cage to capture it! Once finished, bring me my new recruit!” Directions Obtain the quest from Gar in Ennar. Receive a Red Slime Charm from Gar. Encounter a Red Slime in battle and use the Charm on it, greatly increasing the odds of it joining your party after the fight ends. Return to Gar. Please note that you need to have recruited slime in your party. It's possible you need to visit the companion Ranch first and swap your companions.
